Pottery + Plants + Perspective by Megan Bray

I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which the studio is situated and the lands from which clay and materials gathered or made. I pay my respects to the elders past and present

The Studio

At Forest Road Studio, we use the medium of clay to ground ourselves in the present moment, find connection to ourselves and the earth, embrace or rediscover our own unique creativity

Forest Road Studio is located on our small family property on Peramangk (Adelaide Hills).

It was created in 2016 by Megan Bray, after an unexpected redundancy package came my way whilst on maternity leave. You can read more about me, my journey and my work here.

Surrounded by tranquil gum studded paddocks, vegetable patch and sprawling gardens, it offers visitors respite from their busy lives.

The studio was converted from a small tin garage, now insulated and cosy, the windows and furniture collected from a range of second hand sources.

The studio is fed by solar power and rainwater, and there is emphasis and consideration towards reducing waste and negative impact.

The classes, workshops and courses are kept intimate, with attention to personal guidance, a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere is of high priority.

I share the knowledge that I have gathered from many people and places, incorporating my love of gardening, my interest in personal growth, and a passion for helping others to switch out of their minds and reconnect to their bodies.

I acknowledge the long traditions and knowledge gathered before me from all over the world, and I encourage visitors to continue to learn from many sources beyond this studio, to deepen their understanding and experience of working with clay.

Opening my studio to others is a way to connect to community, to offer a space to explore clay, and to find like minded people who are open to reconnecting to themselves or the Earth.
